Evgeny Sinayskiy

Evgeny Sinayskiy was born in Saint Petersburg in 1973 and comes from a famous family of musicians.

He dedicates his musical work to chamber music and education.

He began his career at the Latvian Central Music School and in 1987 was accepted into the Lycée of the St. Petersburg Conservatory in the class of Prof. M. Wolf. In 1997 he graduated from the Rimski-Korsakov Conservatory in St. Petersburg and continued his studies at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague with Prof. N. Grubert. Other of his teachers were T. Fidler, S. Wakman and S. Urywajev.

Evgeny Sinayskiy has won numerous international piano and chamber music competitions, including the chamber music competition in Heerlen, Netherlands, the D. Shostakowitsch chamber music competition in Hanover and the ARD competition in Munich.

He was awarded the special prize for the best accompanist at violin competitions in Poznan and Wrozlaw, Poland and received an internship award at the international festival “Prussia Cove” in Great Britain and at the Paris Conservatory.

Evgeny Sinayskiy's active concert activities as a soloist, chamber musician and répétiteur have taken him to the most renowned music halls in the world. His appearances have been in the Great and Small Hall of the St. Petersburg Philharmonic, in the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, in the Tchaikovsky Hall of the Moscow Philharmonic, in the halls of the Vienna Musikverein and the Konzerthaus, in the great hall of the Mozarteum in Salzburg, in the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, in the hall of the Alte Oper in Frankfurt, in the Herkules-Saal in Munich, in the Palais des Beaux Arts in Brussels, as well as in numerous concert halls in the USA, Italy and Great Britain.

Evgeny Sinayskiy has performed with well-known orchestras such as the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra, the Latvian Chamber Orchestra and the Minsk Bolshoi Theater Orchestra. Since 1996 he has been a répétiteur at the Summer Music Academy in Marktoberdorf in Germany, and since 2000 he has been engaged annually at the international summer academy of the Salzburg “Mozarteum”. Since 2012 he has also been a constant companion at the international competitions “Lipizer” in Italy and “Weniawski” in Lublin (Poland). Since 2012 he has been working with the German festival academy "Villa Musica".

From 2001 to 2010 he taught chamber music at the Saint Petersburg Conservatory and in special courses at the Saint Petersburg Philharmonic Society. Since 2010 he has been professor of chamber music at the Vienna Conservatory and has been teaching piano duo at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen (Germany) since 2011. His students include award winners from international chamber music competitions as well as teachers and répétiteurs of the leading ones Conservatories of Russia and Europe.

Evgeny Sinayskiy works with the following recording studios and record labels: Gramola (Austria), Channel 5 (Russia), BBC (Great Britain), SWR (Germany), Radio 4 (Netherlands), Vlaamse Radio (Belgium).

His musical partners include greats such as P. Zuckerman, L. Harrell, B. Kuschnir, H. Bayerle, S. Ashkenasi, H. Zehetmair, I. Monigetti, V. Gluzman, L. Honda-Rosenberg, J. Jansen, L Gorokhov, D. Schwarzberg, J.-P. Maintz, T. Christian, A. Zemtsov, P. Kurau.
